A common after school activity

Here are the kids, still in their uniforms, watching TV, via Netflix and the iPad. I'm not sure what the show is--I think some sub-Wizards of Waverly Place Disney show. Maybe after dinner we'll watch Wizards in Spanish. That's about as intellectual as it gets around here...

Trip to waterfall

This morning we went to a waterfall with our neighbors from our old house, Dani and Tali and Roy and Nadav. We drove about ten minutes into the hills and then walked up through some fields, across a few streams, and the we were there. A couple of locals were there too. It was great.

Here's a big tree we saw on the way. I guess it was more impressive in real life. The trunk was probably eight feet in diameter...

Nadav, once we were down, trying to open the water tank on top of their car so he could have a shower. Their car is a real expedition mobile, complete with huge tires, a snorkel, and a water tank on top so you can shower after you surf...

Of course as soon as we got home the kids wanted to jump in the pool, and they're still there!

We went to the volcano but it was hidden in a cloud. Afterward we got some berries, had a delicious lunch in a little soda where they cooked on a wood fire, and then some coffee at a plantation where Nadia took a walk that made her happy. Back at the hotel, we went swimming...
